Our Mission

To promote substance abuse awareness in our families, schools and local organizations that contribute to the overall quality of life in our community through innovative, interactive educational programming.

And, to further provide substance abuse assessments, counseling services & referrals for our clients in a relaxed, professional atmosphere that fosters motivation and provides guidance while promoting healthy and quality decisions for our client and the community.

Our Philosophy is simple:

We believe that when a person is confronted with issues caused by substance use, abuse or dependency the 1st Step is to provide them with the right resources, at the right time, and from the right person. We believe that although substance abuse issues can be a problem, getting help shouldn't be.

1st Step Referral Services is a privately owned company that focuses on the very real and challenging issues caused by substance abuse.

All our programming is designed from a unique aspect, drawn from our own personal and professional experiences over the past
18 years. Whether you are experiencing negative consequences in your employment, through the courts, at school, or in your family life because of substance use, you can count on our commitment to approach your situation with the dignity and respect that is essential on your path of success.

From the first phone call, we are committed to being the leader in client service. We are oriented towards changing the way people look at substance use issues and assuring a positive, personal experience.

If you have had previous contact with us, you have probably figured out that we think communication is paramount in our client and customer relations. Research has shown that 85% of personal relationships break down because of inadequate communication. We believe this is also true in business.
