Triamcinolone is occasionally used to treat severe cases of hayfever.[1] Cream forms are used to treat keratosis pilaris, psoriasis, oral irritation after dental procedures. It is highly effective in the most severe cases of eczema, but may require a waiting period before subsequent treatments. The drug may also be used to treat diabetic retinopathy.

Triamcinolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone.
