I think there are a lot more people active in addictions than active in recovery. I am trying to even things up.

Exposing people to the hope of overcoming addictions has become my passion. I am the owner of http:addictionrecoverybasics.com , an authority site dealing with recovery issues. I write and publish my own and others writings on various topics. If you would like to be published send it over to me.

About Me

Who am I? My name is Bill Urell, I have been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for 17 years, (yes they had them back then). I few years ago, I had a midlife crisis, went back to school, started a new career. I also bought a convertible and moved to Florida to indulge my love of the ocean and beaches. I now work as an addictions therapist at a leading residential drug and alcohol treatment center. I have written a resource book which I give away and authored over 100 articles on various topics concerning addiction recovery.

I love the internet and computers, own about 45 websites,a network of blogs and a memebership site. I am really only growing those related to recovery. I love Florida's beautiful beaches, basking in the sun, reading and listening to the surf. (When I have time.)
